The Ankeny Parks & Recreation Department encourages individuals, businesses, and organizations to help enhance and beautify our local parks and facilities through the donation of a gift such as a bench, tree or picnic table. Your donation will either go to Prairie Ridge Sports Complex, one of Ankeny's parks, or enhance the recreational programs. Your generosity will be acknowledged with either a plaque or written acknowledgment.
On June 11, 2011, family and friends of Jean Long dedicated a shelter, picnic table, bench and memorial plaques along the High Trestle Trail in her memory.
Donating a gift to the Prairie Ridge Sports Complex or one of Ankeny's parks offers a unique opportunity to honor and celebrate the special people in your life. Gifts can be purchased in loving memory of a cherished friend or relative, or to celebrate a special anniversary or high achievement. Or you may simply wish to make a contribution to the community by investing in the beautification of our local parks. Your gifts will be enjoyed by Ankeny residents for years to come.
