Ankeny Unplugged Music Festival Announced Full 2012 Lineup

ANKENY, Iowa (May 25, 2012) - The Ankeny Jaycees, in partnership with the City of Ankeny, have announced the line up for the 2012 music festival series Ankeny Unplugged. Taking the stage the first four Saturdays in June, the event headliners include Parlours, Caroline Smith, Fierce Bad Rabbit, and Christopher the Conquered. Concerts will take place at the Ankeny Bandshell in Wagner Park.

About Ankeny Unplugged
Ankeny Unplugged is an annual family-friendly music festival series in Ankeny, Iowa. The only event of its kind in Ankeny and sponsored in-kind by the City of Ankeny, the series features live music, food vendors, and an art and craft market. AU takes place the first four Saturdays in June at the Ankeny Band Shell in Wagner Park. Tickets are $3 at the door and kids 12 and under get in free, and the festivities run from 4 to 9 p.m.
All proceeds benefit residents in the form of scholarships, charitable donations and community events. Organized by the Ankeny Jaycees, Ankeny Unplugged is staffed solely by volunteers. The Jaycees provides young professionals opportunities to develop personal and leadership skills through local community action and organizational involvement.
