The goal of Ankeny TV is to provide the citizens of Ankeny with information that will enable them to participate more fully and effectively in the life of the community and their government.
Ankeny TV also provides residents with emergency/disaster relief information services when necessary.
Toward this end, Ankeny TV, located on cable channel 86 and 97.1 and operated by the City of Ankeny Public Relations office, provides Ankeny citizens with videotext information related to and in support of the services and programs of the City.

Ankeny TV began serving the public in July 2004, with 24hr/day videotext information on City job openings, cultural events, program registration, rules & policies and special announcements.
