The Communications Office is a primary contact for local and national news media organizations seeking new and information about the City of Ankeny.
The Communications Office is available to assist news organizations with the development of news reports about Ankeny. The PRO issues news releases and plans and organizes news conferences and special events such as ribbon cuttings, dedications and ground breaking ceremonies.
Monthly news publications are also produced by the Communications Office and are available on the website.
All current and archived news releases issued by the City of Ankeny are posted on the City of Ankeny website.

The local media are immediately informed in an effort to alert the public. The following media will be used to broadcast or telecast the declaration: WHO-AM, KXNO-AM, KASI-AM, KRNT-AM, KGGO-FM, KJJY-FM, KSTZ-FM, KPTL-FM, KKDM-FM, KDRB-FM, KIOA-FM, KLTI-FM, KAZR-FM, WOI-TV, KCCI-TV and WHO-TV. In addition, Ankeny Patch and the Des Moines Register/Ankeny Register & Press Citizen will be made aware of the latest happenings. Ankeny TV will include a scroll with updated information.
