Bags Leagues have become local favorite

ANKENY, Iowa (April 5, 2012) - Join the fun at Hawkeye Park this summer and compete in the Bags League. This spring will mark the fourth year of this league and it continues to grow in participants and popularity. The Bags League will be going on the same time as the softball and sand volleyball leagues, which all contribute to a great atmosphere at Hawkeye Park. We have great boards, patio area, concessions and adult beverages!
Teams of two adults, ages 18 and over, will compete every week for eight weeks. Duos will race to a score of 21 and play a set of five games. Games will be held at Hawkeye Park on Tuesday or Thursday nights beginning May 8 or May 10. Game times range from 6 – 9 p.m. and will be determined after all of the teams have been finalized.
Cost is $30 per team of two. Registration is available online or at the Parks and Recreation office, 210 South Ankeny Blvd. Deadline to register is April 24.
