Mayor Mark Holm and the Ankeny City Council invite the community to make some memories at the Mayor’s Tree Lighting and Fireworks Saturday, Dec. 2, 2023, from 6 – 6:30 p.m. at the Town Square Park in the District at Prairie Trail. The Mayor's Tree Lighting and Fireworks serve as the finale to Dazzling in the District.
Join us in Town Square Park to enjoy a festival holiday celebration featuring entertainment from DJ Big Lare, an ice carving demonstration, free hot chocolate and an opportunity to meet our local heroes from the Ankeny police and fire departments. The event will wrap up with the Mayor lighting the big tree followed by a spectacular fireworks finale at 6:30 p.m.
Start your holiday fun at Dazzling in the District with Santa, kids’ activities, a holiday scavenger hunt with great prize giveaways and more from 2 – 6 p.m. The event will be held at participating businesses throughout The District including the Ankeny Kirkendall Public Library. The library will be hosting story times, holiday crafts and more! There will be fun, festive activities all day.
