[ARCHIVED] Leaf Collection Days Starts Saturday

Ankeny’s annual Leaf Collection Days begins Saturday, Oct. 21. Ankeny residents can drop off leaves at the Prairie Ridge Aquatic Center parking lot, located at 1220 NW Prairie Ridge Drive, for free through Nov. 19.

The leaf collection site is open 24/7. City crews will be there to assist residents between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays only. You can use yard waste bags for your leaves, and dispose of them in the provided containers. Please remember to remove plastic bags and other containers after leaf disposal.

This event is for leaf drop off only. If you have other yard waste, please contact your private trash hauler for disposal options.

Open burning is not allowed in Ankeny, so take advantage of this free opportunity to get rid of your leaves. This program is available for residents within Ankeny city limits, and proof of residency is required.
