Upcoming holidays observed by the City

City offices and facilities including the Ankeny Kirkendall Public Library and Albaugh Family Senior Community Center will be closed due to the holidays on the following days:


  • Nov. 23 & 24 - Thanksgiving
  • Dec. 25 - 26 - Christmas
  • Jan. 1 - New Year's Day
  • Jan. 15 - Martin Luther King Jr. Day


In addition to the above dates, the Ankeny Kirkendall Public Library will also be closed:

  • November 22, closing early at 5 p.m.
  • Dec. 24 - Christmas eve
