City of Ankeny Encourages Residents to Sign Up for Snow Ordinance Parking Ban Alerts

As winter weather approaches, the City of Ankeny is asking residents who park on the street to stay informed and prepared for snow ordinance parking bans by signing up for text and/or email alerts. If you signed up to receive text message alerts prior to January 2023, you will need to resubscribe because we have a new vendor and we are unable to transfer the numbers.

Sign up online at www.ankenyiowa.gov/subscribe. Notifications will be sent via email, text message, or both. By opting into this alert system, you will receive essential information about upcoming snow ordinance parking bans, enabling you to make informed decisions about where to park your vehicle during snow events.

The City of Ankeny encourages residents to take advantage of this convenient alert system to stay informed about snow ordinance parking bans and to help maintain the effectiveness of our snow removal operations. Vehicles parked on the street during a snow ordinance will be ticketed $40 and may be towed. For more information on the snow ordinance and how to sign up for snow ordinance parking ban alerts, visit www.ankenyiowa.gov/snow.
