Multiple arrests made in case involving shots fired at Ankeny officers

On March 1, after an extensive investigation, the Ankeny Police Department charged five juveniles with multiple crimes in regard to the incident  involving shots fired at Ankeny officers on Feb. 27. Investigators filed two counts of attempted murder against Marbati Y. Gabrab (17) for his actions at both the Prairie Point Apartments and traffic stop by Ankeny Officers.  The investigation into this matter is ongoing, with more arrests anticipated. The individuals listed and pictured below have been charged as adults.

Burglary 1st – IA Code 713.3 – B Felony

Mohammad K. Abdulrahman - 17
Des Moines, IA

Charges:
Burglary 1st – IA Code 713.3 – B Felony

Poe Reh -17
Austin, MN

Charges:
Burglary 1st – IA Code 713.3 – B Felony

Ka Reh – 17
Des Moines, IA

Charges:
Burglary 1st – IA Code 713.3 – B Felony

The fifth subject charged is under 16 years of age and has also been charged accordingly after speaking with detectives.
