Update: The investigation is nearing completion, and we are awaiting full autopsy results. Officers currently have no reason to believe there is any ongoing threat to the general public's safety. There is no further information being released at this time.

ANKENY, IOWA (September 16, 2025) – Earlier today around 12:57 p.m., officers from the Ankeny Police Department responded to a report of an unknown medical problem at 825 SE 3rd St. When officers arrived, they discovered a deceased adult inside of the home.
Ankeny Detectives are on scene investigating circumstances surrounding the death. The identity of the deceased is not being released at this time.
