Membership Information

Membership is not required to take advantage of free Polk County Senior Services at the Albaugh Family Senior Community Center.

Annual Membership Fees

Ankeny Residents
  • Seniors (60+): $47 per year
  • Ages 0-59: $94 per year
Nonresidents
  • Seniors (60+): $94 per year
  • Ages 0-59: $140 per year

Day pass is available for $5 per person per day

The City of Ankeny has a financial hardship policy in place to assist with membership fees for Ankeny residents who meet the guidelines. Call the office for more information 515-965-6449.

Membership

  • Memberships can be purchased throughout the year and are good for one year from the date of purchase.
  • Memberships do not auto-renew - they must be renewed each year. 
  • You must live inside the Ankeny City Corporate Limits to receive the Ankeny resident rate. 
  • Proof of residency is required for the Ankeny resident rate.
  • Memberships may be purchased:
    • At the Albaugh Community Center during regular business hours
    • Online
  • Memberships may not be paused, canceled, or transferred to another person.

Facility Age Restrictions

Youth members:

  • 12 and under must be accompanied by someone 16+ years old at all times inside the facility
    • May use the gym, track, bocce ball and shuffleboard equipment, with supervision only
  • 13 and older may use the facility by themselves
    • May use the gym, track, cardio and fitness equipment, shuffleboard and bocce ball equipment
