Yes, every person who enters the facility must have a valid membership or day pass. Membership prices and information can be found on the Membership Information page.

No, each family member needs their own individual membership.

Memberships may be purchased online or in person:

• In person at the Albaugh Community Center during regular business hours
• Online Here

Membership includes the following amenities: indoor track, ellipticals, recumbent bike, dumbbells, kettlebells, resistance bands, medicine balls, balance balls, gymnasium with basketball, volleyball and pickleball options, shuffleboard equipment, bocce ball equipment and social programs.

Instructor-led programs, golf simulator and leagues are an additional fee.

Seniors (60 plus) receive a discounted membership to the facility. Ankeny resident seniors receive a free membership. Non-Ankeny resident seniors can purchase a membership for $40 per year.

Programs specific to seniors will be offered throughout the week such as pickleball, fitness classes, bocce ball, shuffleboard, and more.

The Polk County Senior Services offers a variety of services for Seniors 60 plus, including:

• Daily meals
• Transportation for qualified/eligible seniors
• Live 2 B Healthy Fitness Class
• Billiards room
• Craft classes
• Computer lab / lounge
• Monthly blood pressure checks
• Foot care
• Health clinics
• Holiday parties

Youth Members:

• 12 and under must be accompanied by someone 16+ years old at all times inside the facility
  • May use the gym, track, bocce ball and shuffleboard equipment, with supervision only
• 13 and older may use the facility by themselves
  • May use the gym, track, fitness equipment, shuffleboard and bocce ball equipment only

No, once you purchase a membership, it is valid for one year from the purchase date.

Yes, we have two rental spaces available in the facility. The large banquet room has seating for up to 155 people and is ideal for parties, weddings, banquets and other large events. The small classroom is ideal for meetings, presentations, classes and other small events and has seating for up to 30 people.

No, we do not rent the gym in this facility.

Yes, lost and found items will be held at the front desk for a short time.

Yes, memberships will be provided at no cost to disabled residents whose annual household income is less than 300% of federal poverty guidelines.

City Staff will assess the ongoing weather conditions and modify Community Center hours as needed. Closures and cancellations will be communicated to the public via the Ankeny Weather Hotline at 515-963-3575 (option 6).
